Lemures

The manifestation of spirits and hauntings have captured the imagination of cultures throughout time. During the Roman era, Lemures represented wandering or malignant spirits of those not afforded burial rites. Often, ghosts and haunted sites are inextricably linked to the trauma of people in the past. They invade the living as the healing remains disembodied goal. The aforementioned were the most intriguing component of these stories, whether they were from a cultural or personal perspective.

Using this as a starting point, I wanted to develop a series that encapsulated a ghost like entity at an abandoned farm in Victoria. Through this exploration, I was able to find something new visually and react to the camera accordingly something that espoused this kind of spontaneity and allowing an organic process to take place. Playing with this perception of reality as if the subject is suspended in nothingness, intangible and eerie.
